Today is International Hummus day! What better way to celebrate than to share some great hummus recipes?
I LOVE hummus, I always have some in the fridge. If I have time to make my own this is one of my go to methods. The key is in peeling the chickpeas, I know it seems like a boring job but it really takes the hummus to the next level.
I use this recipe from From My Bowl
I also like to jazz it up taking inspiration from seasonal flavours. Roasted beetroot has to be one of my all time favourite combinations. If you are ever in Bath or Bristol and there is a Market on check out MOIST. They have the best Hummus ever and feature weekly specials.
Here are the locations that they can be found over the weekend:
Whiteladies Road market,
Bath Farmers' Market
, Wells Market,
Broadway Vegan Market,
Primrose Hill Market
Tobacco Factory Market
If you can’t get to a market to get some or just need a mid week hummus fix then all the major supermarkets have a great ranges of flavours.
I love the fact hummus is so versatile, its great for dipping, spreading and even using in sauces. Here are some great recipes so that
you can celebrate International Hummus Day in style.
